Back to Folsom Lake state park!
We really love this place, not only is it close but the beauty never fails to impress. Today included a picnic overlooking the water and the start of a huge new adventure.

Cool title eh?
So we took a camping trip that could have been a beach trip, man was it hot. I associate camping and mountains with cool air and fires, not 100+ degrees! Luckily we survived and I learned a lot more about what my body will put up with and how I need to adapt next time.
Sometimes the most fun to be had is to light something on fire!
In our case, that was charcoal and some food next to the river at Marshall Gold Discovery state park.

This was my first real attempt at a hike, it was pretty hot out and we braved the crowds of people looking for lupin and man was it worth it!
