This may have been a bad idea.

Or, a good one. So hot, nearly 100 degrees out when we ventured back to Folsom State Park for a hike with gear!

I carried a backpack with water and snacks ( mostly to see how my body did with extra weight, we were not gone long enough to need food! ) And I also got to try out my new boots.

Results: Boots over shoes all the way. The extra ankle support was very helpful for my weak ankle flexors, and backpack was easy to tote around with minimal weight, so it was a positive experience, save for the heat.

Total distance hiked just under 2 miles. Not bad for a disabled dude.
